Until
now, the cool look of Shovelheads with split rocker boxes required you
to either be a skilled machinist or know a good one. First you have to
remove the stockers, weld them up, cut, and machine them. Even though
people love the look, the task is so daunting that its easily put
on the back burner of things to do. Problem no more, as Steve Broyles
of Stevensons Cycle in Wayne, Michigan, has released a new set of
manufactured split rocker boxes to take the sting out of achieving this
look on your Shovel for you. The brand new boxes are supplied in raw metal
form, but with all the machined areas finished. Whether you want to polish,
chrome, powdercoat, or just leave them raw is up to you. Fittings and
an exterior copper oil line are also supplied in the $600 kit for all
Shovelhead motors from 1966 to 1984 and any aftermarket replica Shovel.
