An often-overlooked item and usually bought out of a box are the oil lines, which
never seem to fit or look just right in my opinion.
My preference is to contact the people at Russell Performance, a division of the famous Edelbrock
Company, and get the stuff to make your own. You can go to their web site and find a dealer near you to
acquire the parts needed. Be sure to check the parts list and you’ll see just what’s needed for a first class
 job.

This is a place were you should NOT substitute any quality or time on the project. You will be able make every line the proper length. It’s simple, they look great when complete and they won’t leak or weep.

Follow the directions from Russell! I started by putting
tape on the end of the braided hose line. Push it up
against something solid, even holding it down with your
thumb works, and screw the end of the fitting onto the hose.

Next, squirt some oil or WD-40 onto the threads and into the hose. If you don’t
you could gall or seize the pieces, ruining an expensive part. Screw the end into
the hose and tighten.

Tighten the end to the oil tank or whichever fitting you’re
working with. Extend the hose to the other point of
attachment. Install another fitting onto the other point of
attachment and mark the hose to the length you’ll need.
