Now you can take it apart, mold the frame, finish your brackets and send your stuff off
to be chromed and polished.
Molding the frame is very easy and I highly recommend you give it a shot. Its an easy
job that just takes time to do.
Remove the fork bearing cups and races and then take the frame to your local powder
coat shop and ask them to sand blast it. Its cheap and will ensure that its clean and everything will stick.
DO NOT have any gas tanks or fenders sandblasted. It will ruin them. If you sand the frame instead of
blasting it, your paint will not stick in many places. You just cant get it good enough to work. Why waste all
that work over a few dollars for sandblasting?
Wear clean rubber gloves once its blasted. Do not handle it with your bare hands or
you will get oil from your skin on the surface and the bondo, paint and primer will not
stick. If you doubt what I am saying, take an extra piece along with the frame and have
it blasted. When you get it back, handle it and then set it aside. In a few days, youll
see rust spots where you touched it but nowhere else.
You can pick up a gallon of bondo at your local automotive paint supply store. Relax, turn on the tunes and
have a good time doing this yourself.

Once this is done,
set it aside and start

For the gas tank and
fenders, lightly sand
or grind the area to
be molded.
