This is what they look like after you’ve molded the frame. Molding is 
easy and anyone can do it. It really makes the finished product look 
good as you can see.

I chose to countersink the bolt holes in the stock and use flattop bolts from Gardner-Westcott, which fit 
flush with the bracket when installed.

Once the frame is molded and painted, you can see how nice they will look. 
You will also notice that I’m using a Spyke petcock. As I mentioned in my column, this is a really nice piece. 
The tank has a NPT thread so the petcock fits almost flush with the tank, takes up very little space and flows 
as much gas, if not more, than any custom petcock out there, which our big motor will need. It also has a 
reserve, which some custom units do not. Spyke makes both types, one with NPT threads for custom 
applications and the other with the standard Harley type nut so you can even use this on your current ride. 
It just depends on which petcock mount the gas tank you purchase will have. If you use the FatKatz tank as 
I did, this is what it will look like.

Mount the DNA super-spoke rotor on the front wheel using Loctite on the 
Gardner-Westcott chrome bolts.
