Install the washer and you’re good to go.
If you are using the stock motor parts, you can just install the stator.

Be sure to check for burrs in the motor stator plug hole
before you slide the plug in. Put a thin film of Vaseline
on the plug and the case. Then slide the plug into the
hole about 1/4” past the motor case. It only needs to
come through far enough to allow the regulator plug to
slide on. I usually like to have it pushed through the
case just far enough so the regulator plug does not quite
touch the motor case. If you slide it out too far, it will not
seal and if you’re using a wet primary, you could have a
leak here.

The Spyke rotor has tapped holes already in it so install
a couple of bolts and carefully lower the rotor onto the
motor shaft. This part has magnets in it, which create the
current as it spins around the stator so it will want to pull
itself down like two heavy-duty magnets coming together.
If you let it drop, it could crack a magnet. Be careful and
take your time!

Now slide the primary plate into position and bolt it to the transmission.
Measure the offset thickness between the motor and the plate. It should
be 1-1/2” if you are using the same parts I did.
BDL makes the proper offset sprocket shafts and spacers for most standard applications. Just order them
from your favorite shop and specify BDL. That will ensure everything fits and lines up without any problem.
