Using the Jim’s seal installation tool 
(this is one of those I would not be 
without), install the seal.

Slide on the 24-tooth sprocket and put 
just one drop of red Loctite on the nut.

Using the Jim’s shaft nut tool, reinstall the main 
shaft / 5th gear pulley /sprocket nut, add a locking 
bolt to keep the nut from backing off and you are 
ready to put it back in the frame. 
Save yourself a lot of work and expense by ordering the transmission setup for a chain drive from Baker 
in the first place. It’s cheaper, easier to work on, easier to fix and much easier to work with when setting 
up and spacing things.

Now measure each side for the spacers that will be needed 
later. This will take a little effort to get right. Make sure you 
allow enough space to clear the rotor bolts on the right. Pay 
particular attention to the spacing required to make the caliper 
centered over the rotor. This is critical.

I am using a J-Brake 4-piston caliper (#304-42) on the rear with a universal (#330-442) bracket and a 2-piston caliper (#310-42) on the front with a (#330-452) bracket for this project.
