A mid-year model from Harley definitely is (big) Bike News, especially when it’s a bike like the new Nightster Sportster 1200N. Tough is the first word that comes to mind seeing it and that’s great because Sportsters once ruled the streets and this bike looks ready to take up where the old Ironheads left off. Lowered and blacked-out where there was once chrome with a shortened, macho rear fender, the low (25.3”) scooped seat puts you in a position to rock from stoplight to stoplight. The chainguard and front fender bracket look like drive-by victims with the retro fork gaiters looking purposeful. A side-mounted taillight and the gray engine finish complete the look. All the good parts of the rubber-mount Sporty are there with a style that makes me want one.
