Trike in a box from Santiago Choppers

Trike in a box from Santiago Choppers Whether you need a trike or just want one, it’s quite a big step into un-chartered territory for most people. The cost alone of converting your already expensive bike into a trike should make anyone do a lot of investigation if owning a three-wheeler is on your list of things to do. Even then, you might not want a converted stock Road King, but something a bit more stylish and custom. Well, Santiago Choppers of Gibsonton, Florida, may have exactly what you’re looking for with their Trike in a Box kit. Santiago has a lot of experience building all sorts of custom trikes and decided to take their knowledge and offer a rather complete kit for the home builder or your local chop shop to assemble. The basic kit is priced at $17,995 including an MSO and includes most everything you’d need except for a throttle cable, clutch cable, and brake lines, according to Santiago’s website. You supply the labor and the finish and with Santiago’s extensive list of options, you can create the trike of your dreams.

The basic kit features a frame made of 1 1/8’ tubing with a 34-degree rake and a 2” stretch and the mods needed for installing the chain-drive rear axle. An FXST smooth billet fork with 7-degree triple trees makes sure this isn’t mistaken for one of those conversion kits. Moving the trio of tires is a RevTech raw and chrome 88” mill through a 5-speed tranny. Tire sizes are a skinny 21” front with two fat 265mm tires mounted on 15” wheels behind you. Stopping the trike’s heavier weight is a set of dual discs up front and a pair of rear axle mounted brakes, so you should be golden. The supplied gas tank is a 2” stretched Fat Bob-style with a 5.5 gallon capacity. A chromed side-fill oil tank handles the lube. The plethora of parts to finish this is too long to list so check out Santiago’s website at www.santiagochopper.com or call 813-671-9097 for more info.
