I sincerely doubt that anyone reading this
magazine hasn't dreamed of building their own bike at some point, regardless
of your mechanical abilities. With Bobbers being all the craze for many
good reasons such as usability, simplicity of building, cost and just
being cool. It's getting easier for the average guy to make his dream
come true. Not everyone can afford or needs a complete kit, but where
dons one start? Well, Flyrite Choppers of Austin, Texas, just might have
the answer you've been looking for. Their latest rolling chassis is based
on their successful Reach for the Sky model and retails for a very reasonable
$2799. This package consists of a frame build in-house featuring a 30-degree
rake and no stretch, a 2" under chrome springer fork, a 21"
front and 16" rear chrome 40-spoke wheel, axles, ribbed front tire
and either white or black wall rear tubes, rim strips, tank rear fender,
polished stainless fender strut, FRC solo seat and hardware, headlight
and bracket, throttle and a choice of bars with ribbed grips. Phew! That's
quite a nice basis to build your bobber on. Contact Flyrite at 512-918-CHOP
