Due
to consumer demand for a more economical Heretic, ECOSSE Moto Works has
decided to offer a limited series of its flagship product with alternate
components and functionality. The new version embodies similar characteristics
that define the unique Heretic including the look, feel and sound.
We receive a lot of calls from people who love the machine but cant
afford it, says Don Atchison, ECOSSE Founder and Designer. Were
also inundated with inquiries from customers and builders for rolling
chassis, frames and other components.
ECOSSE struggled with these requests. We couldnt justify allotting
one of the coveted serial numbers for a chassis purchase, Atchison
explains. And, more importantly, nothing bolts right on to our chassis.
We have designed, tested, developed and manufactured hundreds of parts
specifically for The Heretic that work in unison with this highly engineered
machine. Therefore, even the most competent fabricator could easily spend
over $100,000 and countless hours trying to build parts to work with the
chassis. So we decided to set aside a fraction of the 100 Heretic serial
numbers and offer an alternate version instead.
This new version has a similar appearance and bite but features alternate
components and less personalization/adjustability than the original.
For instance, the new models chassis is available in one color scheme
and does not offer the three riding modes or the modular foot-control
setup. Options are also kept to a minimum.
It will be priced at $49,800. On the other end of the spectrum, a titanium-framed
version is also being built. Check out all their bikes at www.ecossemoto.com.
